僕と街とのシンクロニシティ
この写真展は、世界各地に設置された観光望遠鏡にカメラを取り付けて撮影し、得た画像から選んで構成された展示です。
観光望遠鏡は、設置位置を変えることはできないし、動かすことのできる角度も限定されています。しかも撮るには観光地に出かけて行き、望遠鏡へコインを投入してはじめて、閉じられたシャッターが開きわずかな時間だけ光をとらえることができるのです。
このような制約によって、景色を切り取るのでなければ風景に撮らされるのでもなく、観光望遠鏡に届いた街の輝きを受けとることができたのだと思います。それは天体望遠鏡を星空に向ければ、降りてくる光を見ることが出来るのと同じように。
Synchronicity - the streets and me
This exhibition consists of photographs that were taken through sightseeing telescopes all over the world.
Sightseeing telescopes cannot change position, the angle of movement is limited, and after the coins are inserted, the shutter only remains open for 60 seconds to 90 seconds.
" I feel that by placing such restrictions, I can escape the usual process of composing a shot and the photo is just the light reflected by the subject, that happened to reach the telescope when I pushed the shutter. It is like an astronomical telescope turned to a starlit sky, which receives the light from a distant star. "
